Building digital parenting opportunities with TrustElevate

What is digital parenting?

Digital parenting is the digital version of what you do every day! At TrustElevate, we believe that parents should be empowered to oversee their children’s activities in the same way they do offline. Plus, we think empowering parents would be good for everyone in the ecosystem - not just parents and children - by building mutual trust and replicating offline duties of care in digital environments.

How does TrustElevate enable digital parenting?

TrustElevate’s child age verification and parental consent software enables digital parenting in two parts.

First, our child age verification ensures that children are only provided with age-appropriate services online.

Second, our parental consent functionality means that TrustElevate digitally establishes a relationship between a child and their authorised holder of parental responsibility so that they can grant, deny or pause consent for their child's access.

We see this as a mirror of real world safeguarding mechanisms For example, if a child wants to join a football club, their parent would have to be involved in signing them up for the club and the club would, in turn, make sure that the child would be playing with other children in the appropriate age band and have safeguarding measures in place to protect that child while they were in their care.
